Ivan Toney transfer latest - Al-Ahli agreement, Victor Osimhen claim, Chelsea links
Ivan Toney's future looks set to be resolved as Al-Ahli are reportedly closing in on a deal, and Chelsea looking to be dealt a transfer blow in their pursuit for a striker.
Brentford boss Thomas Frank confirmed that the centre-forward won't be involved in their clash against Southampton on Saturday. Toney has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in recent days but now looks set to join the Saudi Arabian side for a £40million fee.
Manchester United had also been in the mix for his services, with Erik ten Hag looking to bolster his attacking options.
football.london has taken a look at the latest surrounding Toney.
Al-Ahli deal
A £40m agreement was reached between the two clubs and Toney is set to pen a three-year contract. The overall deal is said to be worth around £100million including wages.

However, the Daily Telegraph claims the deal is not guaranteed to go through given Al-Ahli's pursuit in Victor Osimhen. It remains to be seen whether their move for Osimhen, will have an impact on Toney's situation.
Victor Osimhen update
Al-Ahli are also said to have agreed a fee with Napoli to sign Osimhen. Chelsea, who have also taken an interest in the Nigerian striker, could yet land the striker but will have to play catch-up.
Elsewhere, senior sources in Saudi Arabia claim they do not see how it is possible for Al-Ahli to sign both Osimhen and Toney. That's because the club does not have two slots available for two foreign players, unless one of them is Under 21.
Saudi Pro League clubs are only allowed ten foreign players in their squad.
Thomas Frank comments
Toney was yet to feature for Brentford this season, missing out on their first two games against Crystal Palace and Liverpool.
"Ivan trained the whole week," Frank said. "Trained with a good attitude in every aspect. He could be involved, he could not be involved.
"He could be here after August 30 and he could not be here. Basically, everything is up in the air. I've said the whole time that if he's here I'm very happy, if he's not here then I'm happy on his behalf. Who knows, let's see, let's see what will happen.
Toney was notably absent from their Carabao Cup win over Colchester on Tuesday. Post-match, Bees boss Frank chose not to comment on Toney's future, which appears to be resolved now.
"Similar stand to yesterday. I am not speaking about Ivan," Frank maintained. "I want to speak about the 21 lads in the dressing room who did well to get through to the next round of the Carabao Cup against a Colchester team who deserve a lot of praise and made it difficult for us."
