Jürgen Klopp breaks down in tears after what crowd did during emotional Liverpool farewell

Jurgen Klopp was visibly moved to tears at the M&S Bank Arena as his Liverpool song filled the venue on an emotional night. The ex-Reds gaffer sat in a poignant silence and was spotted dabbing away tears as he took it all in.

Supporters at the event were eager to show their gratitude to the German for his tenure at Liverpool. Filmed welling up at the event, in the closing moments of the footage, he rises, places his hand over his heart, and delivers his iconic fist pumps to the adoring audience.

Earlier that evening, Klopp had been greeted with an overwhelming reception upon his stage entrance. And there was also an emotional rendition of You'll Never Walk Alone.

Prior to the gathering, Klopp shared a heartfelt message with supporters. On Instagram, Klopp addressed the fans: "Okay, so now I've tried to put myself somehow in proper gear to say now for the last time, hopefully, goodbye."

"I'm pretty sure it will be a good event," he added. "Again pretty emotional, but I think we are through the worst now. So we can have a good time and that's the plan. So I wish you as well if you can see it — if you can watch it (I'm not sure if somebody shows it) a wonderful night as well. So let's go! So here we go, that's it. Ready for the party." says: There were inevitably going to be tears as Liverpool fans got the chance to say goodbye to Klopp. A week after he held it together at Anfield, things have sunk in a little more now. This was the final time he will be on Merseyside for a while and it speaks volumes for the esteem that he is held in that so many wanted to attend what was clearly a fitting tribute to his legacy.
