Jack MacKenzie 'loves' Aberdeen as he acknowledges decision over future needs to happen soon
Jack MacKenzie has stated his love for Aberdeen and admitted he will soon have to make a decision on his Pittodrie future.
The Dons are in talks with the academy graduate who is out of contract at the end of the season. MacKenzie, who was called up into the last Scotland squad, admitted his main focus has been on Aberdeen’s games but acknowledged he will soon have to make a decision on his own long-term standing. The left-back said: “To be honest, there is not too much to report at the moment because I have been trying my best to focus on the football.
“We’ve had a lot of massive games and the Scotland call-up as well. It has all been going on. It is something I will need to think about shortly. I don’t have any update at the minute.”

The 24-year-old has come through the ranks at Aberdeen and he admitted it has been a dream come true for him, as a local boy. MacKenzie stated: “I absolutely love it here. It is where I have been since I was a boy. It is where my family are and where I have grown up. I do love the club. I have really enjoyed it here and I am still enjoying it.”
Aberdeen are also in contract talks with midfielder Jamie McGrath. Duk is also out-of-contract but is likely to move on, while the Dons also have an option to extend Ante Palaversa’s deal beyond this season.
