Mikel Arteta looks set to make a number of changes to his Arsenal starting XI for the Carabao Cup clash against Bolton, with one of those enforced. The Gunners are in quite the injury crisis at the moment, with three new worries emerging for Arteta following the Premier League clash at Manchester City.

Jurrien Timber, Riccardo Calafiori and David Raya all went down with separate injuries, though Arteta was reluctant to reveal the player; that is a major doubt. "Let’s see who is available tomorrow," he revealed in a press conference when asked for the latest team news.

"Unfortunately, yes, there will be a few players not available. We have to wait on one of them. Tomorrow [Wednesday], you will find out. As soon as I give the line up." Prior to his update, claims emerged that Raya was dealing with a knock and could therefore miss out against Bolton.

With Raya potentially injured, loan summer signing Neto cup tied after playing in the previous round for Bournemouth and fellow recent arrival Tommy Setford out because of a hip injury, it looked to be unknown exactly who was going to play in goal with three 'keepers out.

With that in mind, 16-year-old Jack Porter looks set to be in between the sticks for the clash at Emirates Stadium and football.london has taken a look at everything there is to know about the teenager.

Who is Jack Porter?

Having joined the club in 2020, Porter signed a first-year scholarship earlier this year, having already represented the club's under-18s and England at youth level. Over the summer, upon signing a deal, he turned 16 and looks set for a meteoric rise through the Arsenal ranks.

Already this season, he has appeared twice for the Gunners' under-18s before then starting in the Premier League 2 victory over Wolves in late August. Just four weeks on from that, Porter was on the bench for Arsenal's Champions League clash against Atalanta before travelling with the squad to Etihad Stadium.

With Setford out injured, a spot on the bench, because of the extended matchday squads offered to teams in Europe, became free. The teenager is said to be highly-regarded at Arsenal and that fact looks to have been evidenced by the decision to fast track him into senior sessions.

What has been said about Porter?

In the description of his strengths and character on Arsenal's website, he has been labelled 'a confident goalkeeper on and off the pitch'.

'Agile and a good shot-stopper' are the other terms that have been used to describe him and that could be tested on Wednesday evening as he is in line to start the Carabao Cup clash against Bolton.
