Jack Wilshere hits out at referee Craig Pawson after Arsenal humbled by Manchester City in EFL Cup Final

Jack Wilshere has hit out at referee Craig Pawson be naming three decisions that went against Arsenal during their EFL Cup Final humbling at the hands of Manchester City.

The Gunners were convincingly beaten by a City team well below their usual high standards as Arsene Wenger oversaw the second loss at Wembley in as many weeks.

Wilshere feels Sergio Aguero's opener should have been disallowed for a push on Shkodran Mustafi in the build-up, suggests Leroy Sane was offside as Vincent Kompany scored and called for a second yellow on another City player.

"Hard to put into words my emotions about yesterday," he posted across social media. "City are a good team and deserved to win yesterday.

"Alot of people have had thier say on us and we have to accept criticism when we loose [sic]. That being said i can't accept some of the decisions that went against us yesterday [sic].

"What ever you say about the first goal, its a foul [sic]. The second goal is offside. There should have been a second yellow in the first half. Yes this happens in football but its still hard to accept [sic].

"And people will say we are looking for excuses but these are facts. Anyway we need to respond, starting on thursday [sic]. Thanks to all the gooners for your support and trust me we feel the same but we need to stick together [sic]."

Arsenal meet Manchester City, this time in the Premier League, on Thursday as they attempt to close the 10-point gap between themselves as fourth-placed Tottenham.
