Mar. 23—Jacksonville will enter post season play Tuesday in fine form after stopping Tyler High, 4-1, Friday night at The Historic Tomato Bowl. The match was a play-off warm up fray.

Jacksonville (20-4-1) netted a goal apiece from Jacob Gonzalez, Gerardo Arredondo, Armando Lara and Karol Cardenas.

Chris Cardenas, Jonathan Frias, Cristian Juarez and Sebastian Juarez were credited with assist for the Tribe.

Jacksonville head boy's soccer coach Rudy Jaramillo said that he was quite pleased with the play of Jordan Cabrera, Gambino Galvan, Yair Balderas, Cole Killinsworth and Bryan Torres on the defensive side of the pitch.

The Tribe will host Henderson at 8 p.m. Tuesday in a Class 4A, Region II, bi-district playoff match.

Jacksonville is the District 16-4A champion and Henderson is the fourth place team out of District 15-4A.

The winner between the Tribe and the Lions will advance to the Area round, and will meet either Pleasant Grove or Athens late next week.

Also on Tuesday evening, Jaramillo will be attempting to earn his 150th-career coaching win.
