Jacksonville girls to open playoffs Monday versus Chapel Hill

Feb. 10—Jacksonville's Fightin' Maidens will square off against the Lady Bulldogs of Chapel Hill at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Wagstaff Gymnasium on the campus of Tyler Junior College in what will be a Class 4A, Region III, bi-district encounter.

Jacksonville will represent the district as the No. 2 seed after losing, 51-45, to Madisonville Friday evening in a playoff seeding game that took place in Fairfield. The Maidens and the Lady Mustangs wrapped up the regular season as co-champions of the circuit.

Chapel Hill (18-12) also lost it's playoff seeding game, falling to Gilmer, 47-45, on Friday.

The Jacksonville-Chapel Hill winner mostly likely will face No. 7 Silsbee (26-3) in an area round game late next week.
