Jadon Sancho made quite the impression on his Chelsea debut. The 24-year-old winger provided Christopher Nkunku with the match-winning assist as the Blues laboured to a 1-0 win over Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday night.

With Enzo Maresca eager to strengthen his frontline before the summer transfer window slammed shut, Sancho emerged as a shock target for Chelsea. Shortly before the deadline, the West Londoners managed to wrap up a deal for the Manchester United star, who had fallen out of favour – again – under Erik ten Hag.

Chelsea signed Sancho on a season-long loan, which, football.london understands, includes an obligation-to-buy. After a week or so on the training pitches at Cobham, working hard during the international break, the Englishman finally made his debut.

Maresca raised a few eyebrows when he substituted Pedro Neto, but the Blues boss' decision paid off. So, with that being said, football.london have analysed Sancho's performance as he dragged Chelsea to victory on the south coast.

48': Sancho played a neat one-two with Marc Cucurella to unleash the left-back in behind the Cherries' backline. The defender's cross, somehow, evaded everyone in the box, though.

50': Sancho lost the ball on the edge of his own box to Milos Kerkez after trying to dribble out of danger, granting the Bournemouth left-back a shot which flew over.

56': Nice footwork to probe into the opposition box before laying it off to Nicolas Jackson, who bent a shot just high and wide of the far right corner.

57': Booked for remonstrating with the official after a free-kick was given against Levi Colwill. Sancho was then forced into a role as a 'draught excluder' in the wall as Bournemouth looped a shot over.

63': He played a couple of nice passes before driving with the ball across the field.

65': Sancho combined well with fellow substitute Joao Felix on the left wing, including a nice flick to find his teammate.

66': He then nutmegged Adam Smith to complete another successful take-on before finding Cucurella on the edge of the box.

70': Sancho found Felix in the box with a clever pass in behind.

74': Went on a mazy run down the left before being dispossessed. It looked as if the ball may have run out for a corner, but it was adjudged to have stayed in play by Anthony Taylor.

80': Took down a long pass from Robert Sanchez before having his shirt pulled. No foul given, and he played a bit of a loose pass amid his frustrations.

85': Sancho did well under pressure to keep the ball in play and find a teammate.

86': He continued to impress, this time finding Christopher Nkunku in the box. The former RB Leipzig forward then slalomed through the Bournemouth backline before slotting the ball into the bottom right corner.

90': Played a few nice passes with Nkunku to wind down the clock down.

93': Sancho played a couple of nice passes to find Cucurella down the left and then Moises Caicedo. Just moments after Chelsea supporters were heard singing his name in the away end, he unfortunately gave the ball away to Philip Billing. The Bournemouth midfielder was quickly stopped in his tracks.
