Southampton defender Radhi Jaidi faces an extended spell on the sidelines as he requires knee surgery.
The 36-year-old Tunisia international sustained the injury during the summer and has yet to appear for the Saints this season.
Manager Nigel Adkins told BBC Radio Solent: "Big Radhi Jaidi is going to have an arthroscopy on Wednesday. He hasn't recovered from the injury he picked up in pre-season so the surgeon will have a little look inside. We'll see what's wrong and hopefully that will help with his recovery."
Jaidi joined Southampton on a free transfer from Birmingham in January 2009 and has made over 60 appearances.
