Jamie Carragher shares brutal truth on Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham as U-turn prediction made
Jamie Carragher has updated his Premier League predictions and has made some major U-turn decisions with London clubs.
The Sky Sports pundit marked a third of the season being played with an opportunity to revisit his predictions made at the beginning of the season. Carragher started by revising his guess on the Premier League winner.
At the moment, Liverpool lead the league with a gap of eight points to Manchester City, who are in a serious slump. Chelsea and Arsenal are tied on points, with the Blues holding onto third with more goals scored. But the former Liverpool defender thinks it's the Gunners who will challenge.

He said on Sky Sports: "[I picked] Manchester City [to win the league]; it looks like this prediction may come a cropper, which I would be quite pleased about if I'm totally honest. I think I would change that now if I was asked.
"I know there is still a long way to go, but, not just for Liverpool, I actually think Arsenal might finish above Manchester City, even though Manchester City I think are just above them at the moment, but I just think the problems that they've got in midfield, that would be one I think I would change."
It was when the Monday Night Football icon discussed his top four that he made some surprising swaps. Although we are still relatively early into the season, the league looks as tight as ever. If eighth-place Aston Villa get three points, they'll be one point behind City in the top four. But it's Tottenham and Chelsea who Carragher put a focus on.
He continued: "I went for Arsenal second, Liverpool third, and Tottenham fourth. Liverpool and Arsenal will be in there...I think Tottenham might just miss out, but that is not so much just about them.
"I think Chelsea have been so impressive at the start of the season and a lot better than I thought they would be, so I'm actually looking at Chelsea now, and I can't really make a case for them not being in the top four.
"I think the fact that they've gone out the Carabao Cup early and the European competition that they're in, I think they'll go long into the end of the season and probably win that competition, but it is against very average and ordinary opposition so we know that [Enzo] Maresca has played his second team in almost every game and I think that will continue so I find it very difficult not to put Chelsea in my top four.
"So, I would now change Tottenham for Chelsea. And the reason in Tottenham is it's just that inconsistency. You look at the numbers, their underlying numbers this season, they're actually better than they were last season when Tottenham were top of the table and had made the best start that they've made in a long time under Ange Postocoglou.
"But they're typical Tottenham. Tottenham fans wanted their Tottenham back and they've got them back; great football, exciting, lots of goals, but you can never be sure what type of performance they're gonna put in.
"Is it going to be the Manchester City Performance where they win away 4-0, or is it going to be going away to Crystal Palace and losing 1-0; that is the problem and thats why I see them not getting a Champions League position."
