Daniel Farke faces the media on Friday afternoon for his pre-match press conference. The Leeds United manager will take questions from television, radio, print and online journalists at Thorp Arch ahead of the Preston North End clash on Saturday.

Here is a run-down of some of the main topics on the agenda for the boss to address at the training ground today.

How is Bogle shaping up?

Junior Firpo and Ilia Gruev are known to be out until 2025, but Jayden Bogle was given a remote chance of making Tuesday’s game before sitting it out. The right-back’s condition will be one of the topics raised in the press conference this afternoon.

Sam Byram played well on Tuesday night, but his ongoing battle with injuries will mean Farke is keen to protect the 31-year-old where he can. If Bogle is fit, he will almost certainly return to the line-up tomorrow.

Has Greenwood impressed from afar?

Sam Greenwood is ineligible to play for the hosts tomorrow, but he has grown to become a key player for Paul Heckingbottom’s side. The 22-year-old has started 14 games, scored four goals and set up another two.

Farke may be asked how closely he has watched the loanee during his spell in Lancashire and what he makes of what he has seen.

Another demon to exorcise?

Much like a fortnight ago, Leeds will head to Lancashire for a Saturday lunchtime kick-off on the back of two matches in the preceding week. It has been well documented how Leeds struggled at Ewood Park and the reasons for that.

With the circumstances very similar this weekend, the manager may be asked about the importance of laying that ghost to rest and proving they can do it in a lunchtime kick-off after a busy week.

What has he made of Preston?

Preston are one of a dozen mid-table teams that would like to put together a run on the play-offs, but may run out of road to do so. They may only be 14th now, but they have only lost two of their last 13 matches.

That does not tell the whole story, however, as the Deepdale outfit have only won one of their last 10 outings. Much like West Bromwich Albion, they are hard to beat, but struggle to get themselves over the line in games.

Meslier’s return to Deepdale

Boxing Day will mark the first anniversary of Illan Meslier’s red card at Deepdale. The goalkeeper sucked the momentum out of United’s 4-0 thrashing of Ipswich Town by getting himself dismissed three days later.

Meslier first made the mistake of going head-to-head with Ben Whiteman and then foolishly pushed his hand into Milutin Osmajic’s face. The Montenegrin ensured he threw himself to the ground and rolled four or five times, paving the way for the red card to be brandished by Josh Smith.

Farke could be asked about his goalkeeper on his return to that ground and how his season has generally gone up to now.
