What Jayden Danns did left Ibrahima Konate stunned after returning to Liverpool training
Jayden Danns is back training with the Liverpool first team after stepping up his recovery from injury. The striker has been sidelined with a back injury since the summer.
But having trained with Barry Lewtas’ Under-21s earlier in the week, the 18-year-old was back with Arne Slot’s first team on Friday. And he did not take long to stun both Ibrahima Konate and Ryan Gravenberch.
The teenager, who scored his first goals for Liverpool at home to Southampton in the FA Cup last February, was heading out to train on the pitches at the AXA Training when he caught Konate’s attention.

While, on a very cold day on Merseyside, his team-mates were all dressed up in long-sleeved tops and snoods, Danns braved the elements in a short-sleeved shirt.
And Konate and Gravenberch could not believe what they were seeing as the striker’s attire left them both in disbelief.
“Hey Jayden!” Konate shouted across the dressing room. “Bro, don’t tell me you will train like that?”
“I overheat,” Danns explained. “I get too hot in jumpers.” “You will train like that?!” Konate then replied before offering the youngster his gloves: “Here, take mine, take mine, take mine.”
Gravenberch then interjected, saying: “Bro, you are crazy!” Danns then repeated: “I get too hot, I get too hot.”
“Bro, he goes outside like this?!” Gravenberch then said in disbelief before following the striker outside.
Danns has not featured for the Liverpool first team in competitive action since coming off the bench in their 1-0 victory over Atalanta back in April.
In the video, posted in the club’s social media channels, injured striker Diogo Jota was also spotted kitted up in the dressing room as Slot’s squad headed outside.
Pictured in the gym on Friday, the Portuguese is currently sidelined after suffering an impact injury to his upper-body against Chelsea back in October.
While ruled out of facing Southampton and a doubt to face Real Madrid next week, it is hoped the forward will return to action at the start of next month.
