JD.com surges, Unilever drops, Chevron on the rise

Let’s check out the Yahoo Finance charts of the day.

JD.com (JD): Shares are up in early trade, at around 3.4%. Google is buying a $550 million stake in the Chinese e-commerce firm as part of a strategic partnership between the two companies.

Unilever (UN): Shares are down here, at around 1.1%. The consumer-goods company said they will no longer work with social media “influencers,” who buy followers on platforms such as Twitter and Facebook.

Chevron (CVX): Shares are up here, at around 2.1%. The energy producer was upgraded to “outperform” from “market perform” at Raymond James, saying that Chevron is in a better position than its peers to benefit from increased oil prices.
