She may be a glamorous Hollywood star, but Jennifer Garner has given fans an honest insight into how her life isn’t always so perfect.

In a hilarious video shared to her 9.7 million followers on Instagram, the actress, 48, documented her failed attempt at harvesting sunflower seeds from her garden.

The beginning of the three-minute compilation shows the mother-of-three chopping the heads off a number of large sunflowers from an impressive vegetable patch adjacent to her home.

She then goes on to dig out the seeds, soaks them and then roasts them in the oven with olive oil and salt.

However, when it comes to the end of the process, Garner discovers that soaking them for a few days was too long, and that she had picked them from the sunflowers before they had fully matured.

Unfortunately for the star, who gave running commentary throughout, she had to give it all to her chickens.

She explained that she had got the idea for the wholesome project after watching a YouTube tutorial.

However, the video – watched by more than 1.9 million people – provided a great deal of laughter.

The TV star, 39, modelled a £39.50 floral dress in a photo shoot at home conducted by her kids in quarantine.
