Jermaine Jenas decision made by TNT Sports for this weekend's live Premier League match
Jermaine Jenas will not feature on TNT Sports' live Premier League coverage this weekend - and it's understood that the broadcaster is still deliberating over his long-term role.
The former Tottenham midfielder was let go by the BBC last August amid claims of misconduct. Jenas, 41, had been a familiar face on The One Show and a regular pundit for football coverage on the corporation.
His work with TNT has seen him take on various roles, including hosting Formula E events and providing commentary for Premier League games. He commentated during the season's opener between Ipswich Town and Liverpool for TNT but hasn't been on air since.
Ally McCoist stepped in for the Brighton vs Manchester United match commentary and was also on duty for the Arsenal vs Brighton clash before the international break. Jenas will miss out again for the upcoming Southampton vs United match on Saturday lunchtime on TNT.
While TNT Sports hasn't made an official decision on Jenas' position, there's still a chance he might make a comeback. Meanwhile, talkSPORT has confirmed his departure following his BBC exit, reports the Mirror.
A talkSPORT representative explained: "We were made aware of a breaking news story involving Jermaine Jenas as he went on air for a one-off presenting slot on talkSPORT Drive. We made a decision - with Jermaine - that he should continue to present the show."

"Given the array of serious allegations being reported as the story continues to evolve, it's for Jermaine as a private individual to address them in the way he chooses. There are no plans for Jermaine to broadcast as a presenter on talkSPORT in the immediate future."
After being let go from the BBC, Jenas confided to The Sun: "I haven't slept properly since they told me, to be honest. I mean, the anxiety that builds up in your body over these types of things."
"I feel ashamed," he continued. "I feel I've let everybody down. Friends, family, colleagues. I'm pretty much as low as I've ever been."
On his the BBC dismissal, he shared with the publication: "The handling of the situation wasn't great. It was quick - and hell.
"I don't think there was a game plan for when they were going to announce they'd fired me. I think different departments were being told different things. I think it's shocking."
