Jo Whiley shares euphoric snaps after completing a triathlon
Presenter and Good Housekeeping cover star Jo Whiley celebrated completing the Blenheim Palace Triathlon over the weekend (3 - 4 June).
Taking to Instagram, Jo celebrated her incredible achievement of completing the triathlon. Alongside a collection of photos that show her taking part in the event, Jo said: "WE DID IT!!!! Yesterday myself, Disco Steve, my daughter India and a bunch of most excellent friends completed the @blenheimpalacetriathlon 💪"
Continuing with her caption, Jo shared some inspirational words. "This time last week I’d finally tested negative after a week of strong positive lines & intense Covid. Yesterday I really felt it," she said.
"I pathetically swam and ran & struggled my way round but today feel ridiculously pleased that I did it. It wasn’t about the times - it was about the six of us doing a Triathlon together - feeling the fear and laughing a lot plus the sense of achievement at the end. We did a relay because it worked with everyone’s injuries and abilities and that’s the beauty of triathlons. You can do a super sprint or be a weekend warrior - the main thing is that you’ve done something. Signing up for next year now.."
Fans and celebrities alike were quick to comment to congratulate Jo. Author and journalist, Lorraine Candy, said "Amazing well done! Inspo for us all," while radio presenter Bob Harris commented: "How wonderful Jo. Congratulations. Born To Run xx"
In other exciting news, Jo is the cover star for this month's issue of Good Housekeeping!
The issue, which is on newsstands now, includes a cover interview with Jo, where she speaks about everything from relishing life in her 50s to her best memories from Glastonbury.
