John Lundstram includes Celtic red card tackle in Rangers farewell vid as fans all say the same thing

John Lundstram has included a clip of his red card tackle against Celtic in his Rangers farewell video - in a move that has confused fans.

The midfielder has left Ibrox as a free agent after three-and-a-half years and we told earlier how he had penned an emotional farewell message - telling supporters he would always be one of them. But Gers fans have now picked up on the fact his montage included the tackle that cost his side in the last league Old Firm league meeting.

The video included various goals and tackles from his spell in Glasgow but it was rather surprising to see that one in amongst them. Just after Cyriel Dessers got Rangers back in the game with a header to make it 2-1, Lundstram went steaming in with a challenge on Alistair Johnston and was red carded after a VAR review.

That allowed the Hoops to see the game out and take the initiative in the title race, and they held onto top spot to the end from there. Light Blues have found it hard to forgive the midfielder, who also scored an own goal in the game, and this latest development has stunned them.

The first to spot it wrote: "Goodbye/Highlight video on his Instagram actually has the red card tackle (along with his general form) that helped cost us a title."

Another fan replied: "Never been happier to see back of a player, be a great player for Cardiff/West Brom but should never ever be heartbeat of a team that has pressure to win every week. Makes sense we didn’t win anything whilst he was playing."

On the flip side, Celtic supporters found it hilarious and one said: "The best on earth will be fondly remembered by the Celtic fans. The bears adored him because he stared at families outside Celtic Park. Thanks for 54 big man. Now for 55."
