Jordan Rapana sends Hull FC message after first day of pre-season training
Jordan Rapana has completed his first day as a Hull FC player. The 35-year-old marquee signing arrived in England in the early hours of Friday morning and reported to the club’s University of Hull training ground on Monday.
Rapana is one of nine new signings and four new quota players for 2025, joining the likes of Aidan Sezer, Cade Cust, and John Asiata, who also reported for training on Monday earlier than originally scheduled. The former New Zealand international, meanwhile, was videoed on the club’s Instagram page with John Cartwright’s squad now into week four of pre-season training and up to their full complement of players, excluding those in rehab.
Of course, Rapana is no stranger to Hull’s new coach, who gave him his NRL debut at Gold Coast Titans back in 2008. Since then, the Kiwi, who is expected to play full-back next year, has been at Canberra Raiders, where he became a club legend after over a decade of service.

But it’s now the Black and Whites who will benefit from one of the most renowned competitors in the game. Addressing the Hull FC fans through Instagram, Rapana said: "Hey guys. Jordan Rapana here. First day back at pre-season here at Hull. Nice and chilly. Good to rip in.
"Good hard first session. I’m looking forward to meeting all the fans and getting amongst it with the boys. Up the Airlie Birds."
