Jose Mourinho 'eyes Chelsea swoop' as Fenerbahce chief reveals triple transfer raid plans
Jose Mourinho has already named his first three transfer targets for Fenerbahce, according to one of the candidates to become the club’s new president.
Aziz Yildirim led the Turkish giants for 20 years until 2018 and is seeking a return to the helm at the club’s upcoming elections.
With Mourinho unveiled as Fenerbahce’s new manager on Sunday, Yildirim named Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku as one of their top transfer targets alongside Paulo Dybala.
“I mentioned the players,” he told reporters in Istanbul.
“We said Lukaku. We said Dybala and Talisca.
“We keep the rest for ourselves. I’ll tell you after I am elected.”
Lukaku is reportedly available for around £20million after a loan spell at Roma ended, having been signed by Mourinho in the Eternal City. Napoli and new coach Antonio Conte are also tipped to be interested.
Dybala was another Mourinho addition at Roma and has a relatively cheap £10m release clause, while Brazilian playmaker Anderson plays for Al Nassr.
“I want to thank you for your love,” the Portuguese boss stated at his press conference. “The love I felt from the first moment my name was connected with Fenerbahce.
“Normally a coach is loved after victories, in this case I feel loved before victories. That, for me, is a big responsibility. I promise you, from this moment, I belong to your family.
“This shirt is my skin, football is passion. There is no better place to feel that passion.”
