Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho has some words of wisdom for Jurgen Klopp after the Liverpool manager again complained about fixture schedules.

The Reds lost at Anfield to Atalanta on Wednesday night after a nightmare display, the Premier League champions' first home loss in 90 minutes in over two years.

Klopp is angry at BT Sport for rearranging Liverpool's next league fixture, a long trip to the south coast to face Brighton, for a 12.30pm kick-off on Saturday.

"I'm afraid to say but I think (running out of steam) could happen not only to us but to other teams as well," he said on BT Sport after the game.

'You (BT Sport) my special friends ask us to go on Saturday at 12.30pm which is nearly a crime to be honest. It has nothing to do with the game tonight but congratulations for that.

'My only interest in the moment is that I get a thumbs up, nobody injured, let's recover immediately. We take it.

"The boys are completely disappointed, frustrated, really, but we don't have time for it to be honest. It's just get fresh legs as quick as possible and go again, that's it."

It's the most recent complaint from Klopp after telling Sky Sports on Sunday: "Sky and BT have to talk because if we keep playing on Wednesday and then Saturday (at) 12:30, I'm not sure if we will finish the season with 11 players."

Ahead of Liverpool's loss to Atalanta, Klopp's complaints were put to Mourinho and were met with sympathy.

"Klopp arrived by 2015," said the Tottenham boss. "I arrived in 2004 so what he knows from 2015, I know since 2004. And nothing changes.

"We have to adapt to it and that's the way it is."
