Junior parkrun at Greenock sees two new personal bests

BATTERY Park saw the 115th junior parkrun take place on a cool but dry Sunday morning.

Twelve runners took part with two runners, Lucas and Ada, achieving new PBs.

Iona Clark volunteered for the 10th time.

Louis Reid was first to complete the course (07:31), Rudy Byrne (09:15) was second with Callum Gregg completing the top three places in 10:54.

In fourth place, and first girl to finish was Quinn Arthur (11:51).

Amber Skye McDougall was second girl (12:22) and completing the top three girls was Lucy Macfarlane in 12:46.

Organisers thank volunteers Sandra Campbell, Gillian Clark, Iona Clark, Lewis Clark, Lesley Dick, Lynne Fulton, James Gavin, Tracey Howe, Fiona Macfarlane, Sean Macfarlane, Erin McEleny, Marjorie Morrison, Judy Ormond, Kirsty Ormond and Susanne Stetz.

Special congratulations also this week to the Taylor family.

Regular volunteer William and young Elijah took part in the Glasgow Mo Run with Elijah finishing first place for the mini mo event (1.5km) and dad William clocking a fantastic PB in the 10km.
