Juventus offload Motta to Bologna on loan

Juventus defender Marco Motta has joined Bologna on a season-long loan deal.

Bologna have the option of acquiring a 50 per cent stake in the player, who spent half of last season on loan at Catania, next summer. A statement on the club's website read: "Bologna FC 1909 announces that it has reached an agreement with Juventus for the transfer of defender Marco Motta on a temporary basis, with a right to redeem half of the player's registration."

Motta only joined Juventus permanently in 2011 after spending a season in Turin on loan from Udinese.

However, the 26-year-old did not make a single appearance last term under Antonio Conte's management, and has been deemed surplus to requirements.
