Juventus are putting in their final preparations ahead of their Champions League meeting with Aston Villa before they fly to Birmingham on Tuesday - but Thiago Motta might have a fresh injury concern before the latest round of fixtures in Europe's premier competition.

Villa entertain Juve hoping to respond to their defeat to Club Brugge last time out, as well as their current streak of four domestic matches without a win, the most recent of those being the 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The Italian side are unbeaten in Serie A but sit in sixth having only won six of their 13 games this season, most recently drawing 0-0 with AC Milan on Saturday. They sit three places behind Villa in the Champions League standings having taken seven points from their first four games and they can leapfrog the Lions with victory on Wednesday.

Juve have confirmed that they have trained at the Juventus Training Centre in Continassa on Monday, and that they'll be undergoing another session on Tuesday morning, before the squad and staff depart and fly to Birmingham in the afternoon. Juve boss Motta will be holding his pre-match press conference in the Villa Park press room on Tuesday evening at 6pm.

The Old Lady have some serious injury concerns; Douglas Luiz is likely to be missing out on a reunion with his former employers as he continues to recover from a muscular problem. Attacker Dusan Vlahovic hasn't trained but it has been reported in Italy that there remains hope that he can be involved in the match-day squad.

Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal are sidelined with their respective ACL injuries, while Nico Gonzalez - like Luiz - has muscle issues. Polish star Arkadiusz Milik has a knee injury too, but the freshest injury worry involves midfielder Weston McKennie. The US international was initially touted as a makeweight in the summer move which involved Luiz moving to Turin and Enzo Barrenechea and Samuel Iling-Junior coming in the other direction.
