Karl-Anthony Towns picked a perfect moment for a highlight-reel dunk.

Trailing on a fast break during the Minnesota Timberwolves’ matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers, the uber-talented young center found Corey Brewer between himself and the basket.

And, well …  this happened.

It’s unfortunate for Brewer. But for Towns, it was serendipitous. The TNT studio crew, which is generally found in an Atlanta studio on game night, was sitting on press row at the Staples Center calling the Christmas night game.

And that gave Towns the perfect opportunity to acknowledge Shaquille O’Neal and his catch-phrase for gobbling up defenders after he, indeed, made barbecue chicken out of Brewer.

Well-played, Karl.
