Kasper Schmeichel has eagle-eye Celtic fans convinced he's been playing injured
Kasper Schmeichel had Celtic fans speculating whether or not he has been playing injured since he arrived this summer after their win over Falkirk yesterday.
Eagle-eyed punters spotted the goalkeeper's fingers in a bandage as he applauded the fans in the aftermath of their 5-2 victory at Parkhead in the Premier Sports Cup. Schmeichel, 37, has already played eight times this campaign but the suggestion is that he may have been doing so with a broken or staved finger after another photo emerged of his glove also being stitched to accommodate his left handed issue.
One fan posted two pictures on X with the caption: “Kasper Schmeichel playing with what appears to be a broken finger. His two fingers strapped up and wearing special gloves. Going the extra mile in the early part of his Celtic career.”

The only club to score more than once against the Hoops and Schmeichel between the sticks were the Bairns yesterday as the hosts booked their spot in the semi-finals after a first-half scare.
They'll face Aberdeen in that last-four tie.
