The Duchess of Cambridge is getting into the holiday spirit!

The mom-of-three joined pre-school children on a visit to Peterley Manor Farm in Buckinghamshire, England, on Wednesday morning to shop for Christmas trees and take part in some holiday cheer. Her outing this morning with Family Action was preceded with the announcement that Kate has now assumed patronage of the charity, a role Queen Elizabeth had previously held for 65 years.

For the outing on Wednesday, Kate looked festive in a red puffer by Perfect Moment, a green knit sweater (believed to be by her go-to L.K. Bennett), skinny jeans and brown ankle boots. Of course, the duchess made even skinny jeans look regal, with her go-to blow-out and sapphire engagement ring!

Over the past year, Kate has been gradually becoming more involved in the organization, including meeting with them at the Chelsea Flower Show in May.

“I have seen the Duchess’s passionate support for disadvantaged families first hand and have been impressed by her leadership in understanding and promoting the vital importance of the Early Years. Family Action looks forward to working with the Duchess in the years to come," said David Holmes, the chief executive of Family Action.

On Tuesday, the royal joined Queen Elizabeth to host a reception at Buckingham Palace in honor of the 70th birthday of NATO. The duchess wore a similarly colored green dress for the occasion by Alexander McQueen, although it was initially reported to be by Emilia Wickstead.
