Kate Middleton enjoyed a game of doubles with Great Britain's US Open champion Emma Raducanu at a homecoming celebration in London on Friday (24 September).

Kate wore a navy and white tennis skirt and zipped jumper as she attended the event held by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) at the National Tennis Centre.

The duchess, who is a huge tennis fan, congratulated Emma on her history-making victory, after the 18-year-old became the first British woman to win a Grand Slam Single's title since 1977.

She also congratulated British US Open stars Joe Salisbury, who won the mixed doubles, and Alfie Hewitt and Gordon Reid, and heard about their experiences of the prestigious tournament in New York.

'Amazing guys, honestly. Congratulations,' Kate said. 'Seriously impressive. It's been so nice for all of you to come back here in your home country to celebrate back home.'

The group then assembled to play a match, with Kate showing off her impressive tennis skills on the court.

Paying tribute to Emma's incredible triumph against Canada's Leylah Fernandez at the US Open final on September 11th, Kate shared the personal message on Twitter: 'Huge congratulations @EmmaRaducanu on your stunning performances and historic Grand Slam victory!'
