Katie Taylor earnings vs Amanda Serrano: How much each fighter made in Texas
Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano smashed more records during their world title showdown in Texas on Friday night. The pair faced each other for a second time, some two years on from taylor's split decision win in New York.
The Irish boxing superstar would emerge victorious a second time at the AT&T Stadium, this time earning a contentious unanimous points win over the Puerto Rican.
It was a major spectacle, on the undercard of Mike Tyson's ring return against Jake Paul. And it was also a big pay day for Taylor and Serrano who pocketed their highest ever earnings.

Taylor is reportedly pocketed $6.1million (£4.8m) for her role in the bout, while it is understood that Serrano will earn a higher figure despite being the challenger and having lost the first fight between the pair, reports the Irish Mirror.
It is believed that the Puerto Rican earned around $8million (£6.3m), with her purse presumably higher due to the fact she is managed by Jake Paul.
The YouTuber-turned boxer's bout with heavyweight legend Tyson, who is 31 years older than him, was ridiculed by many within boxing, but the 27-year-old defended the event, which was attended by around 70,000 people.
"Biggest live gate in US boxing history outside of Las Vegas," claimed Paul before the show. "Numbers don't lie so people want to see this and that's an amazing accomplishment, credit to Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano, Mike and everyone on the card as well."
It has been quite the journey for both women to reach this point, with Taylor having to pretend to be a boy as a child to box in fights, while Serrano only earned €1,100 from her first professional bout.
The event was shown live on Netflix worldwide, meaning 282million subscribers had access to Taylor's fight.
