Kelvin Fletcher and his wife Liz announce they are expecting twins
Kelvin Fletcher and his wife Liz broke the news they are having twins.
The couple dropped the bombshell when they appeared on BBC Breakfast to talk about their new farming show Kelvin’s Big Farming Adventure.
They admitted they were “shocked” to find out they were expecting twins, joking it was an “another curveball”.
During the show, Ms Fletcher told the presenters: “We’re having another two more children!”
BBC presenter Sally Nugent prompted the announcement when she teased the couple’s news on the breakfast show.
She said: “You were already quite busy, weren’t you, before you took on a farm, with two young children.
“And you have news to share with us this morning, which is…”
Already the couple are the proud parents to their daughter Marnie, five, and their son Milo, two.
Now they will be welcoming twins, expanding their family of four.
The Strictly star admitted finding out they were having twins was an “absolute eye-opener”.
He added: “We just recently found out, to add another curveball if you like.
“We don’t really do things by halves and then we found out we’re having not just one baby, but two.”
His wife added: “It was a shock.”
In the pandemic, they bought a 120-acre farm on the edge of the Peak District National Park.
Back in December, he told fans: “If you’ve been sat there wondering what these random farming and outdoor pictures are all about well now you know!
“We have literally jumped in at the deep end and bought a farm! A reluctant Wife, 2 crazy kids and a Husband with knowledge of farming you could write on the back of a stamp! What could possibly go wrong?!”
The couple have been married since November 2015 but they go way back.
