Kenneth Vargas apologises to Hearts teammates as Neil Critchley makes 'a couple of things clear to him'
Neil Critchley says he's cleared the air with Kenneth Vargas after the Hearts striker's controversial interview.
Costa Rica forward Vargas upset fans during the international break by suggesting he wanted to leave the club in January to play at a higher level. The 22-year-old attempted to clear up his remarks on social media by claiming he was misinterpreted, with Cammy Devlin admitting Vargas reached out to him for help.
Vargas was dropped for the weekend's 4-1 defeat to Celtic and Critchley now wants to draw a line under the issue after a frank discussion with the frontman. He said: "I spoke to him on Sunday. We had a good conversation. I know he has apologised to his team-mates. I said to him how I felt and made a couple of things clear to him.

"He explained what he was attempting to say. He has learned from the experience. Hopefully we can't have an issue like that again in the future.
"He knows my feelings as well but that's a private conversation between me and Kenneth. He's a good guy, a good person. Since I've been here, he trains really well every day. He's committed to this club and wants to get better. That's my job to help him."
