Kevin Sinfield has now raised more than £2million for his Ultra 7 in 7 Challenge, which he completed on Saturday during half-time of the Men’s World Cup final between Australia and Samoa.
Sinfield, 42, is raising money for Motor Neurone Disease Association, Leeds Hospitals Charity, The Darby Rimmer MND Foundation, My Name’5 Doddie Foundation and MND Scotland.
His latest challenge saw him run seven ultra marathons across seven days, with an initial target of £777,777 – inspired by Rob Burrow and his playing number during his career at Leeds.
In late 2020, the former Leeds captain raised £2.7million for MND charities after running seven marathons in seven days and a further sum in excess of £1m was generated in November 2021 after he completed a run of 101 miles in 24 hours.
The sum on the day of the World Cup final was at £1.4million, raising a further £600,000 since.
His challenge started last Sunday, running more than 60km per day from Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh.
Sinfield’s final leg saw him take on 38 miles from University of Bradford Stadium to Halifax, Saddleworth, Failsworth and Deansgate in Manchester before finishing on the Old Trafford pitch to a standing ovation from a crowd of 67,502.
Congratulations to Kevin Sinfield for passing TWO MILLION POUNDS raised by running 7 ultra marathons in 7 days.

“It’s all about friendship and the love for Rob. I know everybody feels the same way I do about Rob Burrow. If we can all try to be a better friend from time to time, we can all have a bit of a better place to live in.
“It’s a just a massive thank you. We’ve met some incredible people. It shows our country cares. I can’t thank people enough. They’ve given their support and voted with their money as well.”
