Rugby league legend Kevin Sinfield's route through the Hull area has been revealed, as he runs in memory of the late Rob Burrow and raises funds for those with motor neurone disease.

Hull Kingston Rovers' Craven Park is a target destination as he runs through Hull for the first time in his fund-raising efforts for MND on Thursday December 5. This will be Sinfield’s fifth annual challenge, having raised nearly £10million in the first four events.

From a northern starting point at Beverley Racecourse at 7am, he will head down to North Ferriby, before then moving across towards the MKM Stadium followed by Queen Victoria Square before reaching Sewell Group Craven Park at around 1.30pm.

Sinfield said: "I have wanted to integrate Hull into our challenges for a couple of years but the opportunity has not be there so I am delighted to be able to come this year. Hull is a Rugby League mad city and Hull FC and Hull KR fans gave so much support to Rob throughout his battle with MND.

"We have many friends in the city and this is definitely one of the days we are very much looking forward to in this year’s challenge."

Sinfield will wear a black and white running top for the first half of the day before swapping to a red and white top as he travels to East Hull. He will be raising money for six MND charities with the MND Association.

It is part of his ‘Running Home for Christmas – 7 in 7 in 7 Challenge’, with Sinfield ending the fifth day of his challenge in Hull. The week-long challenge will start on December 1.
