The Canadian has been almost unstoppable this season, winning gold in all but one of the rounds where he took silver in Deer Valley.
And he was at it again in Japan as his score of 25.34 was good enough to claim the overall title, with American Jeremy Cota and Canadian Cedric Rochon picking up silver and bronze respectively.
With Kingsbury having secured the crown with four rounds left, attention will now be on the race for silver, with Cota currently in second on 459 points, 94 ahead of American Patrick Deneen who could only manage sixth in Japan.
Elsewhere, in the women’s, she might not have wrapped up the title yet but American Hannah Kearney continued her perfect record with victory in Japan.
Her score of 25.49 was enough to hold off the challenge of Canadian Audrey Robichaud, while Justine Dufour-Lapointe took bronze.
Kearney has collected gold in all nine rounds this season and sits on 900 points, with Dufour-Lapointe clinging onto her coattails in second on 548.
