Knighthead confirm Birmingham City full takeover timeline
Knighthead hope to complete a full takeover of Birmingham City next year, it was revealed at the latest Open House event.
The American investment firm took control of Blues last year after purchasing a 45.64 percent stake in the club. Their deal also saw them purchase the rights to the club’s stadium which has now been renamed St Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park for sponsorship reasons.
ZO Future Group LTD, formerly known as Birmingham Sports Holdings, still owns 51 percent of the club. Speaking at the Open House on Wednesday, chief financial officer Mark Smith suggested Knighthead could complete the full takeover next year.

“I think it’s already been discussed in the media, I think you’re talking 2025 when there’s potential for that to happen,” said Smith. "There are some commercially sensitive things we can’t say, but there’s hope it will be in the near future.”
