KPL Golden boot race yet to take shape

Ingwe have officially confirmed the signing of six players and also released four among them their top striker this season

Four rounds of the 2017 Kenyan Premier League have been played and race for top scorer is still afar with almost a dozen of players tying at the top.

So far, eight players have all scored two goals each for their respective clubs from the four matches. Of interest is the fact that out of the eight, two are defenders.

The defensive players, who have found their way in a pool of strikers, are Humphrey Okoti from Sofapaka and Shafik Batambuze from Tusker.

The rest include AFC Leopards hitman Gilbert Fiamenyo, Gor Mahia striker Jacques Tuyisenge,David Okoth from Kakamega Homeboyz, Fredrick Shimonyo from Western Stima plus Nzoia Sugar duo of Brian Otieno and Elvis Rupia.

The eight players are closely followed by other 52 players from across the league, who have scored one goal apiece.
