Kris Boyd says Celtic SUBS would walk into Rangers team as Gers WEAKER despite money spent
Kris Boyd reckons even the Celtic SUBS would walk straight into the Rangers team.
The Gers hero wasn't happy on Sunday after watching his old side turned over yet again in an Old Firm derby. He slammed the manner of the defeat, accusing them of a capitulation as soon as they conceded one goal and slammed many facets of the club in an after-match post-mortem.
During the rant, he also insisted that NO Light Blues player would get into their rivals' XI. He has now doubled down on that and gone even further with the claim that the Hoops bench was littered with players who would go straight into the Rangers side.

Boyd told SkySports: "At this moment in time, yes. I think on current form the Celtic starting XI from the weekend there is not one Rangers player who would get in that. I would argue with anybody who could put forward a case.
"And if you want to rub salt in the wounds a well you could probably say there are about four or five on the Celtic bench who would walk right into the Rangers starting team. You look at Celtic right now and they look far superior all over the pitch
"Butland has obviously been an England internationalist and last season you would have him ahead of Hart because he was coming to the end. Schmeichel has come in and he hasn't conceded a goal yet, has he?
Philippe Clement has attempted to put his own stamp on the Gers squad but Boyd feels they look even weaker than last season despite spending money on transfers.
He added: "I think the Rangers squad is weaker than it was before and there has been money spent. You're going to come in for criticism, that's what happens when you play for a big football club. I don't agree with the fans turning up at Ibrox and hurling abuse at the players. That's not needed, it not going to help anyone."
