KSI admits his feeling that Mike Tyson is going to suffer a brutal defeat at the hands of fellow YouTube-turned-boxing star Jake Paul when the two Americans fight this weekend.

The world will watch on as former heavyweight champion Tyson steps back into the ring for his first professional fight in 19 years on Friday night. He is taking on Paul - 31 years his junior - at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, with the bout due to be streamed live to a global audience on Netflix.

Given the two fighters' age gap it is the younger who has been installed as the favourite in the immediate build-up. This is even after 'Iron Mike' snapped back at his doubters during Wednesday's press conference, insisting: "I’m not going to lose. I am not going to lose. Did you hear what I said?

"Thank you. Hey, I’m fine with everything, I’m fine with everything. I am just interested in this fight here. I am not talking about fighting anybody, only Jake."

But even if he has to do so through gritted teeth, British internet icon KSI, real name Olajide ‘JJ’ Olatunji, believes Paul's victory is a done deal.

"Jake Paul will knock out Mike Tyson. This will not be close at all," he wrote on X, formerly Twitter, before blasting: "Boxing is a young man’s game and Mike is 58 years old. They’re sending a lamb to the slaughter and it’s disgusting."

The founder of the promotional company Misfits Boxing, who host similar events to the main card in Texas this weekend, has been a rival to Paul in the years that they have been active in the sport. That said, they have never actually fought one another yet despite either side calling the other out on numerous occasions.

Tyson has been active in exhibition matches as recently as 2020, when Paul's career began. The 27-year-old has a record of 10 wins and one loss, including seven victories by knock-out.

He was so confident of his chances against Tyson that during the press conference he was placing €1m bets with fighters on the undercard that were predicting his opponent to come out on top.
