Kylian Mbappe tells Man Utd that £106m target is ‘complete’ player as Ten Hag steps up transfer plans
Manchester United have been giving a ringing endorsement of one of their summer targets with Kylian Mbappe talking up the player and making clear his qualities to the world.
The Red Devils are expected to be highly active in the summer transfer window as the next phase of Erik ten Hag’s rebuilding programme. The Dutchman spent well over £200m in his first summer in charge with six new faces arriving. And the money has looked extremely well spent with United already ending their six-year wait for silverware in the Carabao Cup.
And the campaign could end with more trophies in the bag. AS a result, United will go into the latter stages of the Europa League and FA Cup with high hopes of matching Liverpool’s much-heralded 2001 cup treble.
Given their success, it is is little surprise to see United willing to offer Ten Hag further money this summer. As a result, it is likely the club will hope to seriously challenge for both the Premier League and Champions League next term.
To further those prospects, Ten Hag is eyeing three top-quality signings to strengthen his side.
And the No 1 aim for the club is very much focused on the addition of a new No 9.
It seems the club has three main targets in mind. And it’s well documented that Victor Osimhen, Harry Kane and Goncalo Ramos are all on their watch list. Deals for all three, though, do look tricky and that’s despite talks reportedly getting underway for the Napoli striker.
Nonetheless, the club will continue to explore potential options.
And one player who is seemingly emerging as a growing contender is Randal Kolo Muani.

Mbappe gives his backing to Man Utd target Kolo Muani
The Eintracht Frankfurt star is enjoying an excellent season in the Bundesliga. Indeed, he has 16 goals and 10 assists from 35 appearances so far
That form saw him earn a place in France’s World Cup squad. It has also brought him to the attention of several potential suitors.
And United are thought to have a growing appreciation of Kolo Muani, who arrived from Nantes on a free last summer.
Indeed, Frankfurt are unlikely to stand in the player’s way if they receive a huge offer for his services. To that end, they are reportedly willing to cash in if a side matches their £106m (€120m) valuation.
And while pricey, he is reportedly a name Ten Hag is paying increasing attention towards.
Indeed, United scouts will reportedly be in attendance on Monday when France face Republic of Ireland in a Euro 2024 qualifier.
He led the line on Friday evening as their campaign opened with a 4-0 thrashing of the Netherlands. And he will be given another opportunity on Monday in Dublin with Didier Deschamps liking what he sees.
Furthermore, France captain Mbappe is also a huge admirer of Kolo Muani, having also talked up his qualities.
“He is a striker who offers different game options to our team,” Mbappe said.
“He is very complete and has an impressive volume of play. We are happy with the game he played on Friday and I hope he scores [on Monday]. [On Monday] we will try to get him to score a goal.”
Kolo Muano has also opened up on his transfer chances, as talk of a move to United gathers pace.
