The mother of a young cyclist knocked off his bike and stabbed to death in a gangland chase has said “I would have taken your place” in a heartfelt tribute.

Kyron Lee, 21, was chased by a gang who knocked him off his bike and set upon him in a “shocking” attack in a suburb of Slough.

He was found fatally wounded after being hit by a VW Golf and then stabbed in Waterman Court, Cippenham at 9pm on Sunday.

Thames Valley detectives launched a murder investigation and are hunting the men who fled the scene in the black car that could be left damaged by the collision.

His mother Donna Lesner wrote an emotional tribute on Facebook, saying: “My beautiful handsome boy, we’ll meet again someday, love you so incredibly much my heart aches.

“My gorgeous son, your smile was cheeky and your laughter lit up everyone around you it was so infectious, you didn’t deserve this and I will honour you, Kyron - that is a promise.

“Nothing can justify what they did to you, my beautiful baby boy.

“A mother should never be the one to bury any of their children, Kyron you should be the one that buries me.”

She added: “You were extremely loved by many, your smile and laughter will never be forgotten and your name will live on and one day we’ll all be together again because that’s what you wanted the most.

“Kyron baby I would have taken your place if it was possible unfortunately nothing can change the course of events and I [am] so incredibly lost without you son.

“Please let me pray for justice and may you live on through each and everyone’s hearts.”

She also posted a heartbreaking home video of Kyron as a child playing with water pistols with his brother.

His brother, Kaselle, has organised a vigil for family and friends to come together and remember Kyron in Slough this weekend.

He said: “I have seen so much love and kindness, I have received so much love and kindness.”

He added: “I want to ask people to share and invite anyone as I know what a big role he played in a lot of people life’s. He is dearly missed and this will be an opportunity of us to say goodbye. Love you little brother.”

Senior investigating officer, DCI Andy Howard added: “This is a tragic and shocking incident, which has resulted in the death of a 21-year -old man.

“Details at this very early stage are limited, including descriptions of the offenders.

“It is therefore incredibly important that we hear from anyone who witnessed any part of this incident. If you saw the offence itself, or if you saw a black VW Golf driving in the area prior to or after the incident, please get in touch.

“The vehicle may well have damage as a result of the collision. We would be particularly interested in hearing from anyone who has dash-cam, CCTV or doorbell footage which could be relevant.”
