A range of fun activities has been planned this week to mark the one year anniversary of the Lancashire Police Museum.

On Thursday, June 1 and Friday, June 2 staff at the museum are hosting quizzes and crafts activities as well as a visit `by the police horses.

There will also be the opportunity to see what police officers looked like in the past and how the role has transformed.

There will be 16 exhibits on police training, forensic development and recruitment as well as interactive displays on crime and custody and the chance to take a selfie in police uniform.

The event is free to enter and you can turn up on the day but a booking is required for the craft workshops which will be held from 11am to 12pm and 2pm to 3pm.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police Museum said: “One whole year of the Lancashire Police Museum!

“We’re celebrating our first anniversary this week, and to mark the special occasion, we’re hosting some extra activities.

“Come and see us on June 1 and 2 where you can take part in quizzes, crafts, a visit by the police horses and the opportunity to see what police officers looked like in a bygone era.

“A huge shout out to our volunteers who do a fantastic job of running the museum. Our friends from Lancashire Volunteer Partnership will be joining the celebrations, so be sure to give them a wave.”
