A large emergency services presence has been reported on a street in Bolton this evening.

It has been reported that four vehicles were involved in a crash on Halliwell Road near to the Lloyds Bank.

Pictures obtained by the Bolton News show a badly damaged car being attended to by emergency service workers.

As well as this a police cordon has been set up on the road.

One person has said four vehicles were involved in the crash.

He said: "The cordon is starting from the Lloyds Bank.

"Halliwell Road is closed and traffic is being diverted.

"Two ambulances have taken casualties away.

"The accident has happened opposite to the Haslam Pharmacy.

The Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service and Greater Manchester Police have been approached for a comment.
