Lautaro Martinez will snub Chelsea and Tottenham transfer interest to reunite with Romelu Lukaku, claims agent

Romelu Lukaku’s arrival at Inter Milan will effectively end the chances of Chelsea or Tottenham landing Lautaro Martinez.

That is according to the striker’s agent as Lukaku completed his loan return to the Giuseppe Meazza on Wednesday, following a poor first year back at Stamford Bridge.

Martinez and Lukaku enjoyed a fine partnership at Inter before the Belgian’s exit, winning the Serie A title under Antonio Conte, and Alejandro Carmano is confident in his client’s desire to ignore any summer rumours.

The Argentine’s agent told La Gazzetta dello Sport: “There’s a link between them, that’s evident. Wearing this shirt isn’t for everyone.

“It’s a great thing. Lautaro is happy in Milan, he feels like he’s at the centre of things, he’s loved. Why would we want to leave? To where? We’re already at the top.”

Despite initial reports of Inter being open to doing a deal for Martinez, Chelsea are focused on landing Raheem Sterling and Raphinha to bolster their attack.

Tottenham and Conte are also looking elsewhere with Richarlison their top target at this time.
