Lawrence PD sees silver lining in Kansas' Elite Eight loss to Oregon

Kansas may have lost to Oregon in the Elite Eight, but that won't stop the Lawrence Police Department from trying to be positive.

Kansas may have been upset by Oregon in the Elite Eight on Saturday, but that won't stop the hometown police department from finding a silver lining in the loss.

The Lawrence, Kan.Police Department's Twitter account is doing its best to look on the bright side of things, starting with the fact that they no longer have to deal with streakers celebrating a Jayhawks win on Saturday.

You heard that right: Earlier in the game — when an Oregon win didn't seem quite so inevitable —a random user tweeted at Lawrence police, telling them to get ready for a streaker.

Lawrence PD, being good sports, actually replied:

The joke, of course, is that Self has only led the Jayhawks to the Final Four three times since taking over in 2003, and not since 2012. Ouch.
