Former Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws has declared his interest in becoming the new manager at Rotherham.

The Millers are on the lookout for a new manager after they disposed of Andy Scott on Monday after he failed to deliver on his pre-season promise of promotion.

Laws has had success at leading Scunthorpe out of the basement league in the past and he is confident he could do it with the Millers.

"It's a job I would be interested in," he told Press Association Sport. "It's a club that is on the up.

"They have got a great chairman and moving into a new stadium will give the chance to get out of the division.

"I have got the know-how to get promotion."
