Javier Hernandez struck twice as United eased into the last eight with a convincing 4-0 win over Norwich at Old Trafford while Stoke needed penalties to edge past Birmingham.

The final Championship side left in the competition Leicester City have been rewarded with a home tie against Manchester City.

Substitute Lloyd Dyer scored an 89th-minute winner in a thrilling topsy-turvy tie as the Foxes stunned Fulham 4-3 at the King Power Stadium while City needed extra time to edge past Newcastle.

Southampton or Sunderland will play Chelsea at home. The two teams meet at the Stadium of Light on Wednesday November 6 for a place in the last eight.

The winner of that match will take on Chelsea after goals from Cesar Azpilicueta and Juan Mata helped Jose Mourinho mark his 200th match at the helm with a comprehensive win at Arsenal.

And completing the draw, Tottenham have been paired with West Ham at home.

After drawing 2-2 following extra-time, Spurs finally overcame Hull 8-7 on penalties at White Hart Lane while a pair of second-half penalties from Matt Taylor and Jack Collison saw West Ham end 10-man Burnley's run of eight successive victories with a 2-0 win at Turf Moor.

The tie will be played in the week commencing December 16.
