Goals from Adam Forshaw and Clayton Donaldson saw Brentford turn the game around after slipping behind to an own goal from defender Tony Craig.

Sheffield United were unable to make ground on the leaders after being held in a goalless draw at home to Tranmere, while Doncaster slipped down to fourth place after a humiliating 4-1 home defeat to Coventry.

A brace from David McGoldrick and goals from Franck Moussa and Adam Barton saw Coventry take the spoils, with Doncaster only on the scoresheet through Chris Brown.

MK Dons moved up a place into fifth after a 1-0 home win over Hartlepool courtesy of Ryan Lowe’s goal, while Stevenage slipped to sixth with a 2-1 defeat to Crawley Town.

Swindon beat Oldham 2-0 with a brace from Raffaele De Vita at Boundary Park as Paolo Di Canio’s side moved up to seventh, with Notts County slipping to eighth.

A goal from Lewis Grabban was enough to give Bournemouth a 1-0 victory over Colchester United at Dean Court, and Crewe were also victorious by the same scoreline against Bury as Bradden Inman scored the winner two minutes from time.

Leyton Orient were pushed down to 12th after being defeated 3-1 by Scunthorpe at Matchroom Stadium, while Walsall and Yeovil shared the points with a 1-1 draw at Banks’s Stadium.
