As part of the extensive network of Official London 2012 Live Sites Leeds will be buzzing with the Olympic atmosphere.
Leeds will be hosting the Serbian Olympic squad and the Dutch and Chinese swimming teams as it plays its part in the lead-up to the Games, and anticipation for this summer’s event continued to gather pace in June when the Olympic Torch relay passed through town.
Leeds will be showing all the Olympic action on its Live Site big screen which is located in Millennium Square, and the facility has played a massive role in the community’s daily routine by providing a creative platform and communication channel.
High profile cultural events including Royal Opera House performances as well as key sports events have been broadcast on Leeds’ big screen, and the Live Site will convey all the Olympic and Paralympic action this summer as the city joins forces to cheer on Team GB.
