Leeds midfielder will be shown the door this summer as major Tyler Adams blow emerges for Gracia
The Leeds United days are numbered for one midfielder schemer, according to an observer, with the club already preparing for his departure this summer.
The Whites are currently embroiled in a nine-team scrap to avoid the drop in the Premier League and are currently sat 19th. However, while their situation appears bleak, they are only four points adrift of Crystal Palace in 12th. As a result, there will be many twists and turns before the season reaches its climax on May 28.
Leeds, of course, will hope they can avoid the same nail-biting finish they went through last season. And having taken four points from his three Premier League games in charge so far, the signs are promising under new boss Javi Gracia.
Next on the agenda, Leeds travel to Wolves, another of those sides firmly in the trenches with them. A positive result at Molineux can really kickstart their season.
However, Leeds will go into the game without the services of star midfielder Tyler Adams. The USA star has proved an excellent signing for Leeds since a £20m summer switch from Red Bull Leipzig. Indeed, he has figured in 24 of their 26 Premier League games to date.
Sadly, though, Adams has sustained a hamstring injury in training this week and will miss out at Molineux. The club has also confirmed that Adams will also miss upcoming USMNT matches against Grenada and El Savador.
While Leeds have not said how long Adams will be missing for, they will hope he will be fit for the game at Arsenal on April 1.

Leeds ready to let Adam Forshaw leave this summer
Gracia will likely turn to compatriot Weston McKennie as Adams’ replacement in the heart of midfield in a new pairing with Marc Roca. Sam Greenwood and Darko Gyabi are other options for the Spaniard.
One man who has faded from the first-team picture though is Adam Forshaw. The January 2018 signing from Middlesbrough is one of the club’s longer-serving stars, but has seen his time at Elland Road riddled by injuries.
Indeed, a hip problem saw Forshaw sidelined for the best part of two years. However, he may a comeback last season, playing in 26 games for the club.
This season, however, he has only made six appearances, the last of which came back on December 31 at Newcastle.
Now with his contract due to expire at the end of the season, it seems certain that Forshaw will be on his way.
Leeds do hold the option to extend that by another year, but pundit Tam McManus has told Football Insider that the 31-year-old will likely move on.
“I do think it’s time for him to move on for Forshaw, he’s been very unlucky during his time at Leeds,” he said.
‘Championship move on cards’
“He’s only played 27 league games in the last three seasons for Leeds, so you know it’s not a great return.
“At 31, he probably wants to go and play somewhere else. I think he could easily play in the Championship in England.
“He’s got another decent move in him and he could go and get regular playing time at a Championship club.
“He’s been a brilliant servant for Leeds and was part of the promotion team, of course. He won’t be forgotten.
“But I think it’s best for him and best for Leeds if he moves on. Then the club can improve the midfield.”
