Leeds United given 'tough old task' prediction for Swansea City challenge

Leeds United's fixture against Swansea City on Sunday afternoon is 'one to keep an eye on'. This is the opinion of former Leeds player David Prutton.

The current Sky Sports pundit took to the EFL Essentials podcast to give his opinion on all games in the Championship this weekend. He believes that the Whites could be walking into an 'tough task' against the Welsh side, who sit in 11th place in the table.,

Daniel Farke's side has struggled on the road so far this term, only picking up two wins from seven outings on their travel. Prutton, who spent three years at Elland Road between 2007 and 2010, gave his thoughts ahead of the televised game.

“Listen Leeds (got) back to winning ways against QPR after that kind of aberration at Millwall," he told host Simeon Gholam. "Swansea and Luke, again we spoke about Bristol City doing relatively well, Swansea find themselves 11th.

“I think it will be a tough old task for Leeds down there. There’s always a bit of bite to this game as well. I mean obviously Leeds tend to find enemies wherever they go.

"The significance of these two playing each other in the second tier, I think is one to keep an eye on. The atmosphere should be electric. Swansea 1-2 Leeds."

Leeds could make history with a win on Sunday, recording three consecutive away victories at Swansea for the first time in their history. 1-0 and 4-0 wins were claimed in the Whites' last visits to the Swansea.com Stadium.

Gholam also read out the positive thoughts of Leeds supporter named 'Leeds fan that wrote in. He said: '"Leeds are playing brilliant football recently, except for our slip-up at Millwall, and Swansea aren't. We should beat them fairly well with a comfortable 2-0 win."
