Leeds United were held to a goalless draw with Burnley on Monday night, meaning they miss the chance to extend their lead at the summit of the Championship to four points.

In a close affair, United struggled to find any clear cut chances until Daniel Jame's late effort forced a save from James Trafford. However, they were able to snuff out any dangerous attacks by Burnley.

Joe Rodon had an excellent game, cutting out balls and playing forward whenever possible. The attacking line were left frustrated for the most part, though.

The result keeps the Whites at the top of the table by two points.

1 - Illan MESLIER

Headed out under pressure in the first half. Showed indecision for a dangerous Burnley free-kick midway through the second half. Otherwise, another quiet game and a third straight clean sheet. 7

2 - Jayden BOGLE

Ever proactive and positive. Had Burnley backtracking most in the first half. Kept his position well and got a few bruises for his cause. 7

6 - Joe RODON

Good communication, and passed forward - often productively - when he could. Dealt with every ball that came his way and made important interceptions. 9

4 - Ethan AMPADU

Got his head to a dangerous cross inside 25 minutes. Played sensible and learned from earlier chances how to best fend off Zian Flemming. 7

25 - Sam BYRAM

Managed Jaidon Anthony and his pace very well and was calm with the ball. Midfield tactics allowed him to burst forward more. Kept the width well and hardly ever - if at all - misplaced a pass. 8

44 Ilia GRUEV

Dipped into a back-three when United were in possession to allow Byram the licence to go forward. Won the ball at crucial moments and showed a great first touch at times. Covered well too. 8

22 - Ao TANAKA

Got his foot in many a time and battled hard - but lacked that precise cutting ball, and looked frustrated at times. Kept the ball ticking, showing his value in that regard. 7

7 - Daniel JAMES

Mostly quiet but looked to get in either himself or for another teammate when on the ball. But those incidents were few and far between, albeit became a touch more often towards the end. Took on several players in the latter stages. 7

11 - Brenden AARONSON

Poor free-kick in the first five minutes at an appealing distance out. Once again, pressed well but a final ball from him never came. Was involved in the forward play whenever he could be and did penetrate with passing, just not often enough. 7

14 - Manor SOLOMON

Just a touch slower than in previous matches and was snuffed out whenever he got into a promising position. That he was among the duo to first be taken off was not surprising. 6

10 - Joel PIROE

Didn't have much to feed off and didn't do much when he had it. That's now one goal in six for United's top scorer. 6

SUBS

17 - Largie RAMAZANI (on 71 for Solomon)

Almost got to a header. Put himself about. 6

19 - Mateo JOSEPH (on 71 for Piroe)

Ran about and brought more energy up top. Should have done better with a cross late on. 6

23 - Josuha GUILAVOGUI (on 90+2 for Gruev)

Too late for a rating. N/A.
